Diran Castro
Diran Castro (Martinópolis, São Paulo, 1978) lives e works in Sao Paulo. She has a transversal visual practice. For the past 10 years, he has been working in exhibition spaces and developing his practice in museums and art institutions. He has delivered anti-racism and anti-transphobia lectures in national and international companies both in Brazil and Switzerland. He is also devoted to his project Your Children Also Do It, in which he uses prostitution as an investigative tool to reach 18-25-year-old wealthy young white males who self-identify as hetero-cis. The project is aimed at nurturing dialogue and functions as a listening exercise around the themes of race, gender, class and sexuality.
